About Carol Dysart


A seasoned international business consultant, Carol Dysart is a compelling speaker, trainer, and author whose world-wide specialty is in teaching corporate leaders and employees about themselves and how the use of interpersonal teamwork can improve organizational dynamics and increase bottom line profits.

Carol Dysart is the DISC Master: after graduating with a teaching credential and completing a Master’s degree in counseling, Carol Dysart did advanced training and certification in DISC Personality and Role Profiling. She has used her many skills and this specialized knowledge to profile and advise thousands of people from every continent!

People-Smart Solutions is Carol Dysart’s consulting division of her company which provides businesses and individuals with DISC profiling, DISC interpretation for their companies and clients, seminars and training. Also known as the Ambassador of Love, Carol Dysart is available to share her wisdom and support to all her clients.

Carol Dysart has written several books on DISC profiling and interpretation and more. Carol’s DISC books and programs are often sponsored by her client organizations and customized for their employees, agents, and customers. The DISC-focused titles include: Understanding Style, Power of DISC, You and Your Personality, and DISC-keys for Relationships and DISC-keys for Sales; she also authored the “People-Smart” chapters for Money-Making Systems: For People Who Work with People written by DC Cordova, CEO/Co-founder, Excellerated Business Schools® and Money & You® Program. As an instructor and consultant to Excellerated Business Schools programs, Carol profiles each student as well as teaches all its instructors the art and science of interpreting the profiles and interpersonal dynamics. She lectures frequently, presents seminars, and periodically trains independent consultants and internal corporate consultants to become certified in the DISC system.

Carol Dysart received her formal education at the University of California, Los Angeles, and followed this by completing a M. Sc. Counseling degree from San Diego State University after having worked and taught for 15 years, in public high school, colleges, and universities. Carol then turned her love for and interest in people to finding out more about what makes them “tick.” As a result, she found the DISC tool and has never looked back. As a Master Relationship Specialist she has now worked with the Excellerated Business Schools’ Money & You® and Business School for Entrepreneurs® programs since 1980 as an instructor and international consultant. She moved to New Zealand for 4 ½ years to continue her work with their graduates and also taught in a Master Program for Entrepreneurs while there. With just a little practice, confidence builds from seeing how to apply the basic information from a graph into management, hiring, sales, negotiations, and all the many interpersonal relationships that business and personal life brings.

DISC is a simple-to-learn and understand language that brings people closer – especially those who work or live together. It is already regarded all over the world as the "Universal Language" for people literacy. Carol helps people "go beyond" their own profile and truly choose the behaviors they need - even those who think they "already know about DISC." 

Once people experience Carol's interpretation they see themselves and their team members in a new way. "It is not about making the profile "right" or of classifying people in a limiting way," she says.  "Rather, it is about bringing out the gift that is inherent in each person and encourages people to teach others how to treat them, bringing a whole new level of authenticity and camaraderie to a team. Carol continues, "When people understand their own style and the gift that they can bring to a team; when they know how to acknowledge and benefit from the differences in other people, then the culture (and the Unwritten Ground Rules) of the organization become clear.  Once people know their strengths, then weaknesses can be seen as an overuse or under use of those strengths, and can be easily compensated for.  It is then that both businesses and people can prosper."

  • Guest Instructor at UNITEC where Carol administers and interprets the Personal Style Analysis Profile for each MBIE candidate and follows up with personal coaching as needed.

  • Master DISC Coach for Excellerated Business Schools, Carol mentors  "Money & You" and Business School participants and graduates all over the world in understanding themselves and others better.  As resident resource person at each Business School for Entrepreneurs and Business School for Investors, she trains people to become DISC Consultants or just to use DISC more powerfully in their own business or life.  She shows consultants how to apply the various uses of the Personality and Job Style DISC Analysis to solve work challenges and build teams.  Carol has supplied and consulted in the DISC model of behavioral profiling to Excellerated Business Schools since 1980.

  • Mentor Facilitator consultant for programs that bring business professionals into a mentor relationship with "at-risk" junior and senior high school students in the area.
